Edgebander Work Units
Pre-Mill Units
Pre-Mill & Jump Pre-Mill Units (5 Hp) Combinations are available. The Pre-Mill Units are used to edge the panel creating a high quality - chip free edges for banding application. The Pre-Mill Units are equipped with digital counters in two axis for accurate set-up and repeatability.
Edgebanding Magazine
The Universal Magazine is designed to accommodate coil banding and strip banding up to 1/2" thick x 2 1/8" tall. The over head glue container utilizes external heaters to raise the temperature of the glue to flow temperature. The hot melt glue is raised to application temperature at the Heated Glue Feed Assembly, Prior To Application. This ensures the hot melt glue is not over cooked in the glue.
Top/Bottom Rough Mill Units
The Fletcher Top/Bottom Rough Mill Units utilize Perske High Frequency 2.5 Hp trim heads mounted on a structurally stable mounting post. Each of the milling units are adjustable in two (2) axis utilizing digital counters for repeatable accuracy. Both trim units follow the panel with disk followers in two axis and are cleaned by scraper units and compressed air.
Top/Bottom Fine Mill Units
The Fletcher Top/Bottom Tilting Bevel Trim Units utilize Perske High Frequency 1 Hp trim heads mounted on a structurally stable mounting post. Each of the milling units are adjustable in three (3) axis utilizing digital counters for repeatable accuracy. Both trim units follow the panel with disk followers in two axis and are cleaned by scraper units and compressed air.
Corner Rounding Unit
Fletcher utilizes a 4 motor corner rounding system to ensure high speed corner rounding with the quality you expect from Fletcher Machine. The 2 top units corner round the top leading & trailing edges and the 2 bottom units simultaneously corner round the bottom leading & trailing edges.
Scraping Unit
The Fletcher Top/Bottom Scraping Units are designed to fine scrape edged 3 MM PVC edge banding. The units are adjustable and the top scraping unit is attached to the upper pressure beam so that the scraping unit follows panel thickness adjustments of the upper beam.
Top/Bottom Buffing Units
The Fletcher Top/Bottom Buffing Units are designed to utilize a multitude of buffing and abrasive disks. The units are adjustable and the top buffing unit is attached to the upper pressure beam so that the buffer follows panel thickness adjustments of the upper beam.
Environmental Enclosures
Fletcher's environmental enclosures abate sound, serve to contain dust and deliver dust and off-fall from the machining process to the plants dust collection system.
Fletcher environmental enclosures also serve as a safety barrier between machining heads and plant personnel with safety interlocked doors.
Track System
The unique Fletcher Extra Wide Track is designed to consistently hold narrow parts (3 1/2" wide) for banding with-out special attention. The double wide top caterpillar type hold downs ensure narrow parts are clamped firmly to the track. Fletchers special extra wide (5") chain track and double pad caterpillar hold-down system provides the most stable small part platform in the industry.
Control Panel
Fletcher's FM-45 control panel is conveniently placed for ease of operation. All edge bander functions are convenient to the operator and emergency stops are located at each end of the bander as well as an emergency stop cable across the top of the bander. The emergency stop cable can be used as a jog cable when the machining units are locked out.
