Edge Foiling
Hot Stamp Foiling is a method of decorating a product using a printed finish applied to a polyester carrier. Coats of lacquer applied first to the carrier, then high quality, rotogravure printing process is applied to the top coat. The last coat of foil is an adhesive that will reactivate under heat, and will transfer the entire image under combined heat and pressure. Softening points of 235° means the product won’t come apart in high temperature environments.

Fletchers product range for edge foilers include:
FM 85 Random foiler –for round or contoured tops. Oval, serpentine, and other random parts with limited shaped edges are foiled with precision by the FM 85. This table top foiler offers an air operated pressure roller. Automatic part feeder on a template allows for even movement through the machine.
FM 44 Edge Foilers are offered from Single wheel machines through various configurations of multiple shape sand and foiling heads. Single and double sided foilers are part of the Fletcher range. Sand and foil – sanding to better prepare the edges achieves better surface contact and smoothing edges. Single or double wheel for higher speed application are available.
Shape sand and foil – shape the edge, sand the shaped edge, and foil all on one machine. One can replace a softform edgebander with this machine. Edge details are shaped into the part, sanded for smooth surface, and foiled in one pass.
Jump Shape, Sand and foil ;the best edge shaping. To prevent potential blowout one shaper starts to cut in one direction, jumps out and the next shaper cuts through preventing the potential to blow out the ends. These units are followed by sanding, then foiling with one, two or three wheel foilers.
FM 55 CNC Contour Shape Sand And Foil – a rectangular panel enters the machine, it is contoured, shaped, sanded and foiled based on programmed drawings downloaded to the machine. Check out the video section of our website to see and FM 55 CNC in action.

FM 87 Molding Foiler inlude single head foiler for simple moldings and extrusions. Ideal for picture frame and molding manufacturers that may want to foil a simple shape, our just put a pinstripe of gold leaf foil as a detail. Machines from 1 through 6 heads are available.
FM 87 E Molding foiler for Exterior moldings. Using the basic principals of the standard FM 87, the FM 87 E will apply exterior grade foil on PVC moldings. This can be used to decorate PVC window parts, as well as PVC decking, hand rails and posts, and fencing components. Foils with exterior grade qualities are applied that offer 10 year or more fade resistant warrenties.
FM 82 Surface Foilers with options for multiple heads. A hot roll laminator that can bond pre-glued papers, transfer foils, as well as other heat sensitive materials. Substrates may be particle board, MDF, clear acrylic, or other sheet materials. Combinations of rubber coated rollers with Steel rollers may be used for various projects. Jump systems are offered on the external heaters in case of emergency stops to avoid roller damage. A bowed roller located prior to the nip roller helps prevent wrinkling.
